27 years fulfiling briefs and writing compelling pieces for magazines, online media, brand clients, businesses, industry publications, events and TV: from travel series such as A Fork in the Road (SBS) to superyacht magazines and yacht shows. Skills include getting to the heart of a story, creating memorable renditions that motivate or move readers.
I began my career in 1991 in newspapers with the Fairfax group at the Sun-Herald, then honed my copy writing skills in advertising. Vogue, SBS TV, and the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games occupied a few years, followed by esteemed trade publication, AdNews. Then came a lifestyle and culture shift in 2002 with a fortuitous move to Queensland. Now, based on the Gold Coast, entrenched in the precarious and thrilling world of freelance, I contribute to magazines, online and print, covering yachting, lifestyle, travel, trends and whatever comes my way, fascinated by the deeper motivation and the personal journey of leaders, luminaries, game-changers, consumers and all of us.
